Postcard I created to mark the Centenary ANZAC Day on 25 April 2016.
The card features the image of an old WW1 ANZAC tribute postcard and has the recent Sydney Opera House Post & Go stamp applied to the front cancelled with a special London SW1 postmark commemorating the Centenary of ANZAC Day.
ANZAC Day is commemorated on 25th April every year and it's the main national remembrance occasion for Australia and New Zealand. ANZAC Day was officially started in 1916 to mark the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War 1.
Only 8 of these postcards were produced bearing the Sydney Post & Go stamp cancelled by this Centenary ANZAC Day postmark.
